After 3 years of living in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood, we’ve decided to move to the West Loop! It’s gritty, artistic, individual and surprisingly, my fiance (who works in finance) doesn’t hate it.
We spent the better half of last weekend exploring “restaurant row” (if you’re visiting you must eat at Girl & The Goat), Fulton Market District and little neighborhood parks and cafes. Sidenote: I was thinking of doing a mini “city guide” with all my favorite places in each of Chicago’s neighborhoods. If you’re interested let me know!
Although change of any kind can be scary, I feel like new beginnings bring a certain kind of excitement to life. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little sad to leave the comforts of my old neighborhood behind, but I am thrilled to discover a new perspective on the city!
In other news I’ve been LIVING in bodysuits this summer. They are so easy to tuck into shorts/skirts and are pretty effortless when paired with a choker or bolo necklace. I am also dying for Western Belt Buckles lately. Ah, ’90s… I am SO glad you’re back!
And can we talk about those tan lines? I loveeee tan lines. Nothing says summer is here like some tan lines, so I proudly let those fly.
Have any of you gone through a major change lately? How do you embrace change?
