The magic of highlight and contour means you can easily create the illusion of a smaller nose without going under the knife. Plastic surgery is pretty serious business and not something I am prepared to do personally. I find a little makeup can truly create some magic.
I LOVE this quick trick to fake a smaller nose because it works both with your “everyday” makeup routine and for full on glam.
Keep in mind, anything you darken on your face (contour) will recede and anything you brighten (highlight) will pop.
PS: I usually have my fabulous team shoot and edit my videos but I wanted to bring you this quick tip ASAP. So, I shot this with my new camera and edited it myself. You’ll have to let me know how I did!
How To Fake A Smaller Nose:
- Carefully use a MATTE bronzer (I like Hoola by Benefit) to draw straight lines down the sides of your nose. I also apply a little bronzer to the tip of my nose to create the illusion of a narrower tip. Be sure to make the lines as straight as possible or your nose will appear crooked.
- Use a makeup brush to blended the lines so they appear more natural.
- Next, using highlight (I love Benefit’s Watt’s Up) carefully draw a STRAIGHT line down the center of your nose. Again, I can’t stress how important it is to make sure the line is straight.
- Bounce a damp Beauty Blender, over the line of highlighter to buff.
