I’ve always found it extremely difficult to shop in August/September. I’m usually SO over summer clothes by this point and get antsy to wear all the fall goodies I’ve stated to scoop up (I’m looking at you Nordstrom Anniversary Sale).
In order for some instant gratification, I usually start picking out pieces I can wear both now and in the coming seasons. Accessories are the easiest way to satisfy “newness” cravings and I’m loving this choker, saddle bag and earrings.
Two items that also work double duty: suede mules & a button front denim skirt. The mules would look great with the denim skirt/shorts in the summer and when the weather starts too cool, I’ll pair them with jeans too! For fall, throw a sweater and some pointed heels on with the button front skirt and you’re good to go.
Lastly, I’m loving the return of the slip dress, a very ’90s vibe! I’d totally wear this now and in the fall with a chunky knit sweater and some booties.
