On top of getting in the best shape of my life for my wedding, there were a few beauty tweaks I wanted to make. Eyelash extensions being on the top of that list.
My natural lashes are generally pretty long and lush thanks to GrandeLASH, but I knew the extensions would look better in photos and they’d mean less beauty maintenance on my honeymoon too!
With eyelashes extensions you totally get that “I woke up like this” moment. You sort of always look “done” and you don’t really need mascara, which saves me time.
I was a bit hesitant to do any major changes, specifically to my face, so close to the wedding. But, I recently came across GLAM’D here in Chicago thanks to Giuliana Rancic. I figured if they’re good enough for G, then they’re good enough for me.
Naturally I showed up with a ton of questions but the girls a GLAM’D made me feel totally at ease. There are two types of offerings classic or volume. I chose a volume set so that they’d be natural with a hint of drama. Go big or go home, right?
The result was perfection: still very natural but enough to make a statement. “Did she or didn’t she?!”…that’s what I was going for, to be specific. Ha!
By the way this is not a sponsored post, I just wanted to share my experience with you guys in case you’re curious about trying eyelash extensions for yourself.

When should you get them filled?

Can you wear eye makeup & mascara?

How do you clean lash extensions?
Use a foamy cleanser that is NOT oil free.
Any other care tips?
Brush out and separate your lashes with a lash comb each morning, as well as every time they get wet. (GLAM’D will give you a little eyelash comb to take home).
Will they ruin my natural lashes?

Types of lashes include: real mink, synthetic mink and synthetic silks with carious curl shapes. At GLAM’D specifically they are a mix of mink & synthetic.
