While I did allow myself to (over)indulge a bit during the holidays, living a healthy and balanced lifestyle is something I strive for all year.
However there are a few rituals I do use to kick off a brand new year like setting intentions and vision boarding.
Another one of my favorite and less spoken about manifestation tools is to take the time each January to journal my DREAM year. But here’s the deal, I write the entry in the past tense as if I am looking back on everything that has already happened.
It’s VERY important that you write in the past tense because by doing so you’re “acting as if.” If you’re new to all the “woo woo” this simply means that if you want something, you must “act as if” you already have it in order to get it. If you’re wishing for something then your signalizing the universe that you’re in a place of lack. When you’re focused on what you don’t yet have you get more of that…lack. Instead, “act as if” what you desire is already yours.
Feeling like you have it now, is the FASTEST way to attract what you desire and have it show up in your life.
I have been journaling my upcoming year since 2015 in the same notebook. It’s SO crazy to look back and read all the things that have happened EXACTLY as I’ve written them like my husband, my career/being in business for myself, freedom over my time, an EASY labor and delivery, a few dream vacations and even building my first home.
I manifested ALL of that over time and today I wanted to share how you can manifest your dream year too!
Step 1: Start Your Journal Entry With:
It’s January 2020 and I need to take a moment out of my busy day to reflect on all the amazing things that have happened over the past year, and to note the amazing place at which I have arrived:
Step 2: Write out all your dreams and intentions:
Write out everything you wish to call into your life over the next year (big and small). Get crystal clear on what you want or better yet…how you want to FEEL (more on that here)! The less wishy-wash the better. Don’t forget to write in past tense.
Writer’s Block? I like to streamline my thoughts into the following categories:
- Family/Relationships
- Health/Wellness
- Career/Abundance
The hardest part when I first started this exercise was to DREAM BIG. I mean it was MY private notebook and here I was playing it safe. Self doubt is a B!
I strongly encourage you to write out your WILDEST dreams. What if you suspended disbelief and let your imagination run wild with all the things you want and how you’d like your life to be?
If you want to land on the NYT Bestsellers list, write it down. If you want to make $500K this year, write it down. If you want to fall in love and get married on a beach in the South of France, write it down!
Nothing is off limits and by suspending disbelief you’re opening yourself up to live your greatest potential.
As you’re completing this exercise try and remember, it’s not your job to figure out HOW your desires will manifest, that’s signaling the universe you’re in a place of doubt (aka: lack). Just dream big, feel the feelings of having what you desire NOW, trust you will receive it and bask in gratitude for the things you already have.
So, why does all of this work?
What happens to us outside, comes from within and this exercise helps intentionally create the life you want!
Manifestation is to clearly focus on something and create a mindset where you so firmly believe that what your manifesting will come your way.
After you’ve written down your dream year, your job is NOT done! Don’t forget to check in and revisit your journal throughout the next 12 months to help ignite those emotions of “having it now.”
If you want to learn how to FAST TRACK all that you desire, there are additional steps you can put into practice daily! Are you guys interested in a Part 2? Leave a comment below and I’ll make it happen!
Do any of you already use journaling to manifest your dream year? How has it transformed your life?
