Instagram post 2191688054635463514_1301673994 One comment I always receive is how cute my mom friends are and how lucky I am to have such a supportive group of women in the exact same season of life.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I realize how rare that bond is and how challenging it can be to find.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The truth is, just like our romantic relationships, making mom friends and cultivating meaning friendships takes just as much work. These things don’t just happen by osmosis.⁣⁣ ⁣ Today on the blog, I'm sharing my tips for making mom friends 👯👯(link in bio).

Instagram post 2174475820934984261_1301673994 Every ‪Sunday evening‬, I do a brain dump.  This involves me sitting down with a pen and paper and getting ALL of my thoughts out of my mind.  It's such a release and takes everything you're worrying about, questioning and needing to do OUT of your brain and putting them somewhere else.  I find such a sense of peace and calm when I know it's all there on the pages, safe and sound, waiting for me when I need it! To do a brain dump: 1.Start writing everything down. Don't hold back or limit yourself. Write what you need to do, could do, should do, want to do and even your feelings. What are you dreading, what are you excited about? 2.Add some order.  After you let yourself go (writing down anything/everything) start a new page with to-dos.  I like to categorize my lists as "personal" and "professional". 3.Organize your list. Circle anything you can take care of ‪Sunday night‬. These are usually items I can knock out quickly and feel like small wins for me.  Next I'll create a list by "day of the week" and add the most important items I NEED to accomplish that day.  The goal is to simplify and focus on a few key tasks each day to get a lot done each week!  I also keep a "someday" list for things I would love to do at some point but aren't urgent--it helps me to know that those thoughts aren't lost. When we let things build up in our minds, the result is often overwhelm and anxiety.  The Sunday brain dump has been such an effective way to calm that keep my life organized! What are your hot tips for reducing anxiety and staying organized?
