If I could describe our wedding in a couple words it would be: pure magic. It’s kind of surreal to have ALL of our closest friends and family come together to celebrate such a momentous occasion in our lives.
Thankfully on the morning of the wedding, all of the stress from planning left my body and was replaced with only excitement. I was determined to live in the moment and leave the details up the professionals so that I wouldn’t miss a beat on our day. Everything ended up coming together beautifully and truthfully, even if it hadn’t, I don’t think I’d bat an eye. It would have taken ALOT of mishaps to spoil the love and joy we were surrounded with on that day.
Matt and I also decided to do a first look and even though it’s not traditional, it was the BEST decision we’ve ever made. It was so nice to have a PRIVATE moment to speak with one another before we said “I Do” in front of our loved ones. I will cherish that memory forever!
I am actually curious to get your thoughts on a first look before the wedding. If you’re married–did you do a first look? Why or why not? If you’re planning to be married, do you think you’ll do one?
Speaking of planning, I’ve made my wedding board public on Pinterest. So head on over there and check it out! The theme of my wedding was elegant & romantic with a dash of whimsy mixed in. I didn’t want things to feel TOO perfect but rather soft, relaxed and ethereal. I juxtaposed my very opulent venue with loads of overgrown florals, including a 40 foot runner of eucalyptus and olive branches on our king’s table.
Today, I am sharing some of my favorite moments for your wedding with you!
