Hi, from the third tri!
The countdown to baby is ON and I wanted to chat about something that’s top of mind for many mamas during the later stages in pregnancy: stretch marks.
Thankfully, I managed to escape stretch marks with my first pregnancy. I know that the chances of getting stretch marks are largely dependent on genetics but that doesn’t mean we can’t do our best to battle our genes!
I wanted to introduce you to MUTHA, the BEST belly butter and oil that I’ve been using this time around!
MUTHA was created by model and mom of four Hope Smith! The ingredients are super clean, all natural and many are even from organic sources.
So let’s get into what makes the oil/butter a bad MUTHA…
Why I love it:
This is the most luxurious belly butter and dry oil I’ve ever used on the planet! The scent is incredible and the formula is so clean and hydrating. In fact I plan to use the oil in lieu of moisturizer even after pregnancy.
What’s In It:
Belly Butter: derived from 100% natural ingredients contains a whipped trifecta of shea, cocoa, and mango butters, vitamins, fatty acids, and pure seed extracts.
Belly Oil: packed with essential vitamins and 100% botanical seed oils.
How To Use It:
I use the body oil just after toweling off from the shower and the belly butter in the morning. I apply each to my belly, hips, thighs, boobs and booty!
Here’s the deal, during pregnancy there are so many “can’ts” and “don’ts”. Though pricey, the Mutha body butter and oil feel like such a decadent treat a pregnant mama so deserves.
I love that MUTHA has a philanthropic aspect too, with a percentage of each sale goes to maternal and infant health programs at the International Medical Corps, whose work involves training nurses and midwives in countries and villages with limited access to healthcare.
In addition to belly butter/oil I swear by an active pregnancy ( I am LOVING the Melissa Wood Health workouts), dry brushing a few times a week and keeping a diet rich in vitamins A, C & E (think: avocado, oranges, pineapple, and leafy greens).
PS: Mutha just came out with an incredible face oil that I’ve had the opportunity to try over the last few months.
