Learning to master basic cocktails and stocking a home bar was on my list of things to do before I turn 30, which is approaching this June (eek!).

Last Christmas, my fiancΓ© gifted me this bar cart, complete with a extra large bow and bottle of prosecco (I taught him well, no?). I love that it’s both classic yet modern, fitting in perfectly with our decor.  I had so much fun styling it and now when guests come over, this little bar cart proudly displays our offerings.

Living in Chicago means space comes at a premium. If you also have storage issues, you know that function and style is where it’s AT. So, investing in a bar cart to display some of our prettier glassware and booze, was a no brainer. Even if you don’t have space problems, I feel like a bar cart is eternally chic. It screams “fancy a cocktail”?!

If you’re interested in how to style a party ready bar cart, I’ve linked some similar carts & accessories below! My favorite accent being the gold “Welcome Guests” napkins. I may or may not cringe when someone ACTUALLY uses them. J/K….er, sort of!

Speaking of cocktails, we’re trying to come up with some “his & her” offerings for our wedding! Do you have a signature cocktail? Please share in a comment below!

The guys may have their man caves, but this is what I call my “zen den”!

When it came to designing my home office, it was super important that the space was a reflection of my personal style.

I began with a clean, monochromatic color palette and decided on gold as my main accent color, since it’s the only metal I wear in my wardrobe. Because I’m way into color psychology, I peppered in pops of blue to promote feelings of peace and serenity. Also, my custom made “Good Vibes Only” sign ALWAYS makes me smile!

I love layering various textures. The juxtaposition of the hyde rug and acrylic chair, as well as accents like the gold snakeskin tray and blue marbled vase, all add warmth and interest to an otherwise modern space.

Though I must say, my absolute favorite office accents, actually come from my great grandmother! The two elephants perched on the shelves (which are a symbol of good luck) and the gold pineapple next to my cocktail set were both hers! She had impeccable style and was SUPER creative, so it’s totally fitting to have her in my chic, white and gold office!

How do you all create an organized and inspiring work space? Where do you find accents and little gems?!

I am currently having a love affair with essential oils! Not only can they lift your mood and elevate your beauty routine, but they also make for great cleaning products too!

My pilates instructor recently confided their cleaning solution, which smells divine, is simply a few drops of tea tree oil & distilled water. So naturally I went home to research what other products I can make san sickies (chemicals).

My first foray into all natural products for the home is this DIY, all natural/organic room spray! In case you’re wondering I LOVE essential oils by NYR Organics

Have you tired using essential oils in your home?

I don’t know about you but I love having house guests! I always make it my goal to ensure my visitors are comfy, cozy & welcoming.

In addition to the basics like clean sheets & fresh towels, I like to stock the room with water bottles & magazines. Fresh flowers, luxe toiletries and a little chocolate are a sweet, finishing touch!

What are some of your favorite ways to accomodate a special guest?

The kitchen is truly the heart of a home.  It’s def where I spend the bulk of my time prepping healthy meals, enjoying a meal with the BF and the room everyone gravitates toward when I entertain.

Since I spend so much time in the kitchen, I wanted to make sure it was still cozy and personal.  A styled kitchen tray is one of the best ways to achieve this AND it prevents the countertop from looking cluttered or messy. Which would basically spell death for me *gasp*…#suchdrama.

Here’s how to create your own chic, curated little space in your kitchen!
