I love a good makeup haul and while it’s fun to try new things, I have a few “holy grail” products in my beauty routine. When I can’t get to Sephora or just want to splurge elsewhere, I’ve found a few drugstore dupes for some of my absolute favorite high-end makeup.
I like to keep these more affordable options in my purse or gym bag. I also tend to bring along these “comparables” when I travel, since I have a habit of leaving behind expensive makeup. *facepalm*
My Favorite High End Vs Low End Makeup:
MASCARA: My absolute FAVORITE mascara is hands down Too Faced’s “better than sex” mascara. It gives you soft, fluffy voluminous lashes and NEVER flakes. When I’m running low or in a pinch I reach for L’oreal’s “Voluminous” mascara a shockingly close second to the Too Faced brand.
Concealer: Bobbi Brown is a beauty industry OG and the creator of my absolute FAVORITE color correcting concealer (in color bisque). This full coverage concealer spot treats acne spots and neutralizes under eye discoloration. I’ve found a GREAT “dupe” in Revlon’s Photoready Insta-fix (in color Medium Beige). I have one of these sticks in my purse at all times and another in my gym bag!
Blush: Who doesn’t love a cult favorite? NARS blush in Orgasm looks great on just about everyone! I love that it’s so sheer and natural. I go through this blush so fast that luckily I’ve found an amazing comparable to have on hand as back-up! NYX’s blush in “intuition” seriously gives the NARS brand a run for it’s money.
