Ok ladies, I gotta let you in on one of my fav past times. I am a travel/trial size beauty addict. Every time I am at Sephora stocking up on tried and true essentials, I love to pick up a few trial sized goodies I’ve had my eye on.
There is NOTHING worse than spending a ton of dough on products that you later end up hating. And let’s be honest, do you ever really get around to returning them? I def don’t #moneypit
This is the perfect way try something new without losing a ton of money!
Here’s my latest Sephora Beauty Haul:
The Essentials:
Anastasia Brow “perfect brow” pencil (in dark brown)- I’ve been using Anastasia products to fill in my brows for YEARS! Trust me, there’s a reason Miss Anastasia is the brow guru to the stars! I am also a huge fan of the brow pen for evening/weekends! #eyebrowsonfleek
Dior addict lipgloss in “My Lord” – I’ve always gravitated toward bronzed skin and nude lips (think J.Lo, Kim K, etc.) it’s always been my vibe. This particular gloss is the perfect nudey pink, so light on the lips and with just the right amount of shine!
Trial Sized:
Ole Henriksen “Nuture Me” Cleansing Cloths: I am a huge fan of Ole Henriksen products, but NOT of a makeup wipes–in my experience they never work. However, I’ve been scheduling my workouts after work and need something on the fly. I bought 10 pack to try and I am super impressed with the results! The towelettes removed ALL of my makeup (even stubborn, waterproof eyeliner) and left my skin feeling clean and refreshed!
NARS Bronzer/Blush Duo: I already LOVE NARS’ “laguna” bronzer but I’m not much of a blush person, although I’m trying to be! When I spotted this trial sized blush/bronzer duo…I knew I couldn’t pass it up. If you need me, I’ll be channeling my inner bronzed goddess, willing summer to show up STAT!
Dolce & Gabbana “Dolce” fragrance: I love switching up my perfume and keeping a few good ones on rotation. However I can’t just casually stroll up to a makeup counter and commit to one. I need to, yah know, live with it for bit! I’ve been wearing Dolce for a few weeks now and I’m loving the soft, feminine floral notes!
Dr. Dennis Gross Peel Pads: You already know I am a HUGE fan of Dr. Dennis Gross Peel Pads! I purchased a trial sized pack, instead of another 30 day supply to ensure they would work ok with my new skincare routine. Turns out the two get along famously. Sign me up for a month’s supply!
So tell us: do you try before you buy? What are some of the best ways you’ve found to test products before you actually purchase?
